Agree the frame first
District, budget per person, anything someone does not eat, and how many seats. A hotpot in Causeway Bay and a banquet in Sha Tin should not be in the same vote unless the group is willing to travel.

Dinner Scheduler is the English name of 夾食飯. Friends use it for one dinner: agree a time, vote on a restaurant, then split the bill. It coordinates the group. It does not write recipes, count calories, or build a weekly meal plan.
One group
Dinner Scheduler keeps the time, the restaurant, and the bill in the same group, instead of a chat where half the replies are “I’m free” and nobody can see the overlap.
Each dinner has a 6-digit invite code. On the Hong Kong app, someone who has not installed it can still mark free times and vote from the link you share.
Propose a few slots, or use the calendar from 6:00 to midnight. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon, dinner, and late night all fit. Darker cells mean more people are free.
Record who paid and what each person owes. The app works out the fewest transfers. On the Hong Kong app, PayMe or FPS is one tap from the group.
The restaurant vote
Dinner Scheduler is not a restaurant guide. You suggest the places. The group votes. OpenRice and Google Maps are there so people can check the review and the walk.

Each person adds a restaurant. Every suggestion includes an OpenRice link and a Google Maps link. The vote stays in the group, so nobody has to count thumbs-up in a chat.
On the Hong Kong app, share the invite link. They vote on a restaurant in the mobile browser, and mark the times they are free, without installing first.
Add the dinner to the phone calendar. The app reminds the group the day before. The bill stays in the same group. The Cantonese how-to is 夾食飯點樣一齊揀餐廳.
